Celebrating One Year of Epic Financial Journey
“3… 2… 1… And we’re live!”
Those words were uttered one year ago on the morning of 3/14/24 from a hotel room in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Epic Financial Journey website went public and we were officially the newest kids on the blogging block!
Of course for anyone who visited the site back then (and for the following few months) there was actually no content, just a “coming soon” banner. But hey, at least in our minds we could still technically count ourselves as an official member of the blogosphere!
We congratulated each other on the big milestone then left to attend the Opening Party of the EconoMe Conference, not knowing what lay ahead of us in the digital realm.
In the year since our launch we’ve used this platform to write about both FI-specific & FI-adjacent topics. For us it’s been a great way for communicating our thoughts, documenting what’s been on our minds, and sharing our experiences & knowledge with others. We hope that it’s also been a resource for those in our community to learn from.
It’s been fun, yet challenging at the same time. Neither of us are great writers and it probably shows a fair amount (perhaps even more than we realize). Both of us come from technical backgrounds, so at the very least it’s been beneficial for us to further develop our literary skills.
Our plan for the future is to keep moving forward and growing the blog. The goal from Day 1 has always been to help others on their personal journeys to Financial Independence – whether as a friend/confidant or someone to learn from. In addition we’re continuing to build a community where we can all gather, talk about money, and learn from each other.
As always, we are so thankful for each and every one of our readers and truly appreciate the support that everyone provides.
So cheers to one year of Epic Financial Journey and here’s to many more years to come!
P.S. To celebrate our one year anniversary we even designed a new logo which you can see below. Keep an eye out at future FI events… you never know when you might spot one of us or a fellow EFJ community member.
